This post sounds very negative doesn't it? It's not intended to be at all.
Are you looking for guitar lessons In Penkridge, Stafford, Cannock, Codsall, Burntwood, Brewood, Cheslyn Hay, Lichfield, Rugeley, Penkridge, Walsall and Wolverhampton?
Then whatever you do, make sure you fully investigate your 'so-called ' guitar teacher.
Where did they go to GUITAR UNIVERSITY? Did you know that even bad guitar players can be a GUITAR TEACHER? The industry is not regulated at all. Real guitar teachers have a musical history and formal education. That's not to say that you won't learn anything off these people. You certainly should not be paying them the current going rate for a qualified teacher though. That's outrageous.
Do you know they can pay to go onto a guitar teachers list? That's fine but you could probably get onto the list too, just by filling in a form, even if you don't consider yourself a guitar teacher.
Get your lessons from whoever you want but surely you owe it to yourself to get the best teacher possible.
Google Guitar Teachers in your local area, there will be a lot, now ask yourself how many of them are real teachers in an academic or qualified sence
Don't let this post sway you though, ultimately it's up to you. It's worth remembering that Bad Guitar Teachers don't stop you from playing guitar but they may ultimately stop you reaching your full potential. Do your homework
